[...Yeah, this is totally relevant to his interests.]

Think it depends on how they handle things. If they're trying to make up for it, it might be worth giving them a chance, but only if they mean it.

There's a difference between lip service and going the extra mile.

Just their actions, I guess. And it's not like it has to be a quick decision. Probably better to watch them and make sure they aren't pulling any fast ones.

DEPENDS ON THE PERSON.
AND YOURSELF, I GUESS. IF THIS "PAWFUL" SHIT SOMEONE DID HURT YOU, AND YOU CHOOSE TO FORGIVE THEM, YOU'RE ASKING TO BE HURT AGAIN.
IF IT HURT SOMEONE ELSE AND THEY FORGIVE THE PERSON, IT'S PROBABLY IN YOUR BEST INTERESTS TO FORGIVE THEM, TOO.
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ABOUT, NEPETA?

SPIDERBITCH, GAMZEE, ERIDAN, NEVERMIND THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I FUCKED UP. SHOULD I JUST START PULLING STRAWS OR ARE YOU GONNA STOP BEING CAGEY ABOUT IT?

Do they really regret what they've done? Are they trying to make it better? Did they apologize, at least?

:33 < the purrson is here

If they haven't done it yet, I don't think you should blame them for it. It's a hard question to answer, though. Do they know what's going to happen?

:33 < im not entirely sure
:33 < i dont think they do

pawful?

[...this guy must really like cats.]

sure there are things that you can't forgive. i dunno about "should." it depends what they did.

:33 < so
:33 < do you think its okay not to?
:33 < would it be petty if you cant bring yourself to?

vestigiaflammae October 12 2011, 01:41:14 UTC
i think it's okay if you can't. like, if somebody hurt my friends? i probably wouldn't forgive them.

maybe it's better to forgive or whatever, but if you can't who cares. they're the one who did something wrong in the first place, right?

:33 < hmm
:33 < i hope so
:33 < but it does bring another question to mind
:33 < do you think everyone should be held to the same standard?
:33 < like
:33 < if someone else did something somewhat similar
:33 < even if you felt more lenient towards them
:33 < how do you judge who to make amends with and who not to?
:33 < if that makes any sense :??

To me there are things that are absolutely unforgivable.

But I digress. If you feel like you want to forgive someone then you should. It isn't that complicated.
