Title: Flushed Fate Author: witchiepooh Word Count: 100 Characters: Neville, Hermione, Draco Rating: PG (one "bad" word out of 100) A/N Inspired by and written for tamlane, after reading her interesting take on the drabble.
I can understand what you meant by the "immediacy" of the idea for a drabble. Though actually, I switched gears because I started this as a serious graveside scene.
Thanks again for the encouragement to give this a whirl!
Though actually, I switched gears because I started this as a serious graveside scene. Ha! That's where I thought you were going with it at first. Those drabble muses can be quite unpredicatable, eh? :D
You should write MORE!!! This one was very effective. As I was lying in bed last night, I could just hear Hermione's know-it-all voice saying, "He has a name, you know!" HAHAHAHA. And Draco. "Bon voyage, Trevor." *CACKLES* I love it.
Thanks -- Yeah, not sure exactly what happened. I started with Neville's quote and it just flowed from there. Was going to be heavy and then it turned.
And perhaps I will try and write more, if only for the prospect of keeping you up at night cackling :p It will have to wait 'til I return from Atlanta though, as right now I'm tapped...
Thanks, Krissy! You're right, it isn't as easy as it sounds. It is definitely difficult to convey a story in so few words. But it's actually a pretty good writing exercise. :)
Oh this is why I don't read drabbles! I am too greedy for them! I always want more! lol. What a cute little premise. I can absolutely see Draco flushing Trevor without any qualms whatsoever. And, despite its length, it had me guessing! Who could it be? Harry? Draco? No! The frog! *giggle snerk* Much love. :D

I had no idea until the word "toad." And the last sentence was SO Draco. That's absolutely brilliant! ♥!

I think I've been dumbing down my narrative for too many hours!

You're demented??? But then, what does it say about me since I wrote it? :p
Thanks for the feedback. BTW, I read your post about your film, it sounds fantastic. If I don't fall asleep first, I plan to go reply over at your LJ.
