Here's a photo I took in a recent thunderstorm. I was at my dad's place and managed to catch this bit of lightning webbing across the sky over his car garage. Of course, it being so close promptly scared the hell out of me and I went right back inside :D

Well, his Dr. says he can come home Wednesday - that he's as well as he's gonna get in there. His lungs still have fluid in them, they can't get it all out, so he's gonna continue to cough up gunk and foam. His strength is still not up, so it's going to be a lot more difficult for him to get around the house ( Read more... )

Just a quick post to let everyone know I made it to Iowa. The driving was good, some sightseeing got done too! It was a great road trip. Now off to finally get some good sleep :)

Thirteen years later than many people get it, yet still before I turned 30, I have finally gotten my driver's license. Took the behind the wheel test yesterday, only missed about half of what I was allowed to :), and using a stick shift too! I'm feeling rather proud of myself :D
