Tomorrow I go back to the R.A.H. for x-Rays and, hopefully, a walking boot. Worst case scenario - my leg is still too swollen and I have to put up with this for a couple more weeks. Dad likes his new place - now. Apparently he is getting married. He has found a friend who is on a similar level as he, and they walk around hand in hand. We think it's great. We hope her family is OK with it. We are prepared to take up arms if the people who run the place try and keep them apart ( Read more... )

Dad doesn't like his new place - and they think he's hard work. We are about to experience the stuff that you read about in papers. He has advanced dementia, but is very fit for his age. Most people who have this level of dementia are a lot more frail, and therefore, easier to keep under 'control'. (I hate that word.) If they decide they can't keep ( Read more... )
