BECAUSE RACHEL WOULD STORM INTO HIS OFFICE AND TELL HIM THAT SHE ISN'T THERE TO BE TREATED LIKE ONE OF HIS PATIENTS OR TO BE CALMED DOWN BY HIS SO CALLED CHARM SHE IS THERE TO TELL HIM SINCE HE IS CLEARLY NOT GENUINELY HELPING ROBIN HE NEEDS TO STAY AWAY OR SO HELP HER RANDAL FLAGG THERE WILL BE HELL AND SHE WILL BE HAVING HIS HEAD AND THAT HE NEEDS TO NOT TREAT ANYONE EVER AND IF HE THINKS ROBIN IS ALONE AND NO ONE WILL STAND IN WYATT'S WAY HE IS VERY VERY WRONG.
Oh, he knows they were happy too, but he thinks that the pain that THEY suffer would not be worth whatever small amount of happiness that he was able to give them and that they could have find happiness elsewhere... with someone else had he not been alive and intervened.
