Jono is going alumni as of the first summer semester, but odds are I'll be flinging him back at the island as often as I can, so I figure I'll ping in to clarify that he has a lot of freaky power radiating off of him. If her ability to sense it is at all visual, this technicolour icon here is a pretty decent representation of how that power would look, aside from that obvious "also, his face is on fire" bit. :)

None of my other boys are really that special, power-wise. Reno might feel a little weird, because I decided to go the mako-treated route to explain some of the things that he can do. But that's more like the aftereffect of a mild soaking in radioactive liquid life-force, so how that appears to Kate is totally up to you.

Kate is generally more of a 'this feels funky' than by visual clues. So she might not see the fun rainbow effect, but she'd feel it. She'll have no idea WHY but that much power is a little difficult to hide.

Reno's oddity might get drowned out by the magic in the air around Fandom, unless he actually did something with it.

That all sounds about right to me! Reno doesn't actually have the ability to actively tap into the power from the mako- It's always sort of just there. Fandom has way more crazy power mojo going on than he ever will. :)

Sookie'll be going alumni in September (*cries*) but she has Fae heritage. I have no idea if that would affect how she reads, but she has a little bit of freaky powers that go with it, on top of the telepathy. If Kate sees this kind of thing visually, Sookie's powers manifest as purple/pink energy, usually radiating from her fingertips, though she also glows gold when she's using power. Up to you how much of that comes across!

It'd probably still only read as a 'there's something odd' feeling, which she might put that down to the telepathy and an innate magic ability if she found out. Kate isn't always the best at pinpointing *why* something is weird, just that it is.

But, if Sookie started using her glowy pinkness nearby she'd definitely feel the changes in magic flow.

Karla's a witch and so falls under that heading.

Cindy's an immortal, unaging Fable, but that has more to do with her popularity than anything intrinsically magic about her. So...probably not?

Karla's actually a nice easy one for this. :D

I guess Cindy would depend on if it works for her like it does in Kate's world or not. A lot of things there have power simply because a lot of people believe in them and popularize the myths. They become innately magical because of that belief that they are...

Even so, Kate has managed to run into demi-gods and not realise what they really are. Sometimes plotlines require her to be oblivious!

... So that whole ramble can probably be translated to 'I have no idea'. We can play that one by ear, I guess.

I adore Kate!

Mercy's a walker, shifts into a coyote, and magic can work strangely around her. As they put it in one of the books, the small stuff often doesn't work at all, but the nasty stuff seems to work fine. And she can see and talk to the dead , so...

Helen is a cleric and magic user and can influence animals and shift her arm into, well, pretty much whatever she wants.

Millie is a high level enchantress and used to be a goddess. And has a talking cat.

Have fun with them!

I think you may be one of a few people who actually knows the books!

And ofc Kate does like her shifters, so she'll probably take to Mercy on some level.

Caroline is just going to stare at all this controlling vampires stuff and hope never to come in contact with that sword :D But I totally welcome Kate to recognize her for what she is!

Nico has a bunch of powers, but he's half god so I don't know what that means for Kate. Mostly I think we might be in need of a raise the dead/control the dead support group.

I apologise in advance for the 'go away, you make me want to hurl' (or words to that effect) that will inevitably come out of her mouth at some point should they meet. :D

As for Nico... Kate has spent time with a sort-of-god (the grandson of Loki, to be specific) and apart from thinking he was a creep with an unusual amount power, she had no clue that he was part deity!
