How is it that we can elect a Black president, yet still not allow homosexuals the human right to marry? I am less than thrilled with the outcome of Prop 8, and honestly disgusted. I know a lot of people, who have never stepped foot in a church, that voted yes on 8. I don't know how much this has to do with the "church" you're talking about.

Most of the arguments brought to my attention surrounding this proposition are in regards to some sort of church and religion. That was my defense in this topic. Anyone who isn't religious and still voted yes, in my eyes, is just plain discriminate.

No one can argue a good solid reason why this proposition should be in place w/o using some sort of religious excuse. These people function the same as you and I do everyday. The only difference is that they are attracted to different people. It's not fair to take away that right, just like you wouldn't think it's fair to take it away from you, your parents, or anyone else you know. They are not gay by choice, but born that way. The science is there. And in my eyes, fact outweighs faith. Hands down.

I don't know your opinion on the proposition. This reply is a general statement to everyone, not just you. So, no offense. :)
