Interesting though the past few days may have been I'm quite sure I speak for a fair number of people in saying that I'm glad the City does not yet have a publishing house.
Since our latest curse seems to deal heavily with a certain mythology; a question for those who might know. What of the 'first-born' who happen to have already died?
Earthquakes and tidal instability. I would almost be inclined to believe the root cause to be tectonic activity at sea, save for the fact that there have been no major tidal waves. Nor should the current rumblings be enough to effect what we see of the ocean.
Again, City? If I didn't know better, I'd almost thing you enjoyed inconveniencing me. You've certainly gone to great lengths to make sure I can't escape it.
I have a feeling it doesn't stand for the more harmless option.
I suppose this isn't the most inconvenient thing the City's decided to offer in the long run. Nonetheless, I can't claim to be amused all the same. It will be tolerable, yes, but highly inconvenient as far a social interaction goes.
((Cursed with What's In A Name, leaving him quite literally the Silent Hero.))
While I can see the purpose of the lists that have gone up today, even without the curse, I can't help but wonder all the same. What use is a declaration of intent to change when one is all but incapable of change to begin with?
[The viewpoint's more than a little shaky, but in between the rather jarring jumps it's clear that Lexaeus is fighting... something. And winning, by the looks of it.]
I'd assume this isn't a normal occurrence, even by the standards of this world?
Three months, and already things have begun to become far more familiar than I could have imagined. A tribute to that which I have seen perhaps? Or maybe it is merely human nature to adapt to whatever the situation?
