Deidara had burned down the roof. It was now reduced to ashes, along with angry black streaks that were marking the floors. Itachi titled his head to the side, knowing that this was a work that was done long ago, but for no reason, the ashes of the previous structure that was here have not yet scattered into the wind. His mouth thinned at this as the possibilities of moving to another place was quickly forming. Moving was really such a burden.

And almost, like a ribbon of silk brushing against the back of his neck, Itachi felt it.

An angel was rising up, in the elevator, never hesitating to obviously show where their destination was. It was someone Itachi was not familiar with, though their essence was giving him a tingling feeling through his fingers. He shook it instinctively, but when crawled up his arm once more, he finally realized just how familiar this person was.

Metatron. It was like a whisper in a wind, though it did not fail to excite anger in him. The one that escaped. The one that was almost in his grasp. The one ( ... )

No lava. She was almost disappointed.

Hinata couldn't smell the burning material, but she spotted it almost immediately. And yet, for some reason it did not take up much of her interest. Possibly because there was Mr. Weasel, finally. She'd felt him, like a chill up her spine, like vomit in the back of her throat. He was tall, much taller than she'd expected, but not as tall as she'd imagined on her way up. But almost there...

"I...I was going to bring a cake, but I heard you probably wouldn't like it..." she began in a quiet voice, unsure how else to greet such a creature. All of a sudden this task seemed so incredibly daunting that she wondered what she was doing here. This man had hurt Neji, and...and here she was, ready to do what, exactly? Prod him to death?

Oh, dear Lord...

"You're the Weasel, yes?" she continued, her volume rising slightly, but her voice still shaking occasionally. She tried to steady her hands, but they wouldn't stop shaking. "Y-You...you might remember...erm...an angel you hurt. A...erm...little while

Weasel.

...

She had used that in the same sentence in which she was addressing him (a weasel?) and he felt the annoyance once again inside of him boiling. It was such a distraction, so much that Itachi's eyes started to wander away from the angel (was she still talking?), crimson eyes flickering to the city below. Perhaps it was that time of year that supposedly the time for a new place to live. Itachi wouldn't like it, but there would be change.

It was only then did he realize that the soft squeaky sounds was coming from the angel.

....Was she talking? Itachi honestly could not tell ( ... )

She spotted the difference, the rising in the energy that just might crush her with its deadly weight.

But all of a sudden, something sparked. This man...he spoke to her the way Neji spoke to her sometimes. Like she was a waste of his time, and why was she still talking, again? Don't waste their time.

Alright. Okay. Good.

"What do I want..." she parroted, testing the words on her tongue. What did she want?

She wanted to land a blow. Well, honestly, she wanted to land several blows and possibly throw him out a window, but she had to think realistically, here. If she wanted to be completely honest, the only throwing that would be done would probably be done by him. Unless it was her throwing up, but she quickly remembered that in her angelic form, she didn't vomit.

Hinata took in a deep breath, and wondered for a the fifth, sixth, millionth time what she was doing here.

Dear Adam. Dear Eve.

Is this how you felt when you shook a futile fist up at the sky?

Hinata lunged forward and swung her sword in a smooth circle before her.

XDDD the less confusion the better, when the thread is opened of course faithblind April 20 2007, 01:44:17 UTC
There were a few times in his many years Itachi did not know the reason behind an attack. Most of the time, however, it was merely out of spite (more frequently from the demons, who wanted vengence for their fallen comrads or who were arrogant enough to think they had a chance) and like always, the Fallen Seraphim found it easy to deflect any attacks from any attacker. Though his patience was fully wrung out now, it was still far from snapping.

They were in a hallway leading from the elevators, which Itachi simply thought it was extremely ignorant for the angel to start it here, in all places. However, his crimson eyes caught the flicker of the sword blazing to life before him, clashing against the brilliance of his eyes. He had tilted his head a bit, the melting of crimson now hard and flintly as he appraised the girl.

Nothing of value came into mind.

Though the hallway was narrow and even now, extremely tight due to the attack from the angel, Itachi felt as if time slowed itself and this place was simply still. And there it ( ... )

Hinata gritted her teeth at is comment, as if He were looking down anymore...as if what He approved of was the important thing. She'd seen so many fall, one after the other once Mr. Lucifer had dropped like a stone, and slowly her idea of approval was warped.

He didn't approve of anything, God, because he knew it all. He allowed to happen what was meant to, and, oh, Mary, even so, Hinata wasn't so sure she believed in fate. Hinata wasn't sure about anything, except for a few choice things.

"Vengence?" she replied in a light tone, as if they were discussing this over tea. "N...no. This is called...selfishness." Then her sword flipped direction in her hand and she stuck it in the space between her arm and the rest of her body.

"...you're not as tall as Deidara made you sound, Mr. Weasel."
