everytime i hear stream of consciousness i think of that story we read in mcgoverns about the old lady who was dying... you know what im talking about.

Thats what I thought too! And then I thought about it so long that I remembered the name..."The Jilting of Granny Weatherall". I remember Mrs. K. used to get pissed because she wanted to do the story and McGovern stole it from her.
