My thoughts as of the past several months:  law law law jobs law law law government law law chocolate? law law.

With that said, I adore law school. I have no idea how much I actually understand, I am more confused than ever about what I want to be when I grow up, and I've forgotten how to have a normal conversation. Overall, it is good.

In a complete turn around, I've decided I am very happy in Chicago. There are people here who will drink margaritas at inappropriate hours and get lost in a three block radius with me, let me into their book club though most have never met me, there are people who go out of their way to try and welcome someone new and genuinely want to be warm and ( Read more... )

So we'ved move in. We are official residents of Chicago, Jon has gone to work for the past several days, I've made dinners, soup, attempted an apple pie and am finishing up german chocolate cookies tonight. This is a difficult word for me. I do not look forward to the first day of anything as people will inevitably ask me where I'm from. Most often my answer is Chicago but I haven't lived there in nearly ten years. New York has felt temporary since the day I moved so that won't work.
