homesick

So I was supposed to be working on at least two other things, and also my taxes, and then I read this prompt, and it made me cry tears of joy and piss my pants with glee and set everything aside and write this thing, which I'm not entirely sure what to make of. Some day soon I will go back to writing silly AUs.

Oh wow, this was really something. Your dialogue is just perfect and your writing is wonderful. I really enjoyed all the different dynamics between Arthur, Eames and Ariadne. I saw in another comment that had considered going for the threesome, and found that interesting because I was definitely shipping all three of them while I was reading.

Anyway, I utterly adored this and I'll be super excited if you do ever decided to write a sequel. :)

We'll see what direction the next bit goes in (which I've started; but starts don't mean finishes, so). Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for leaving a comment. The threesome thing; I'm still thinking about that for the next part. I don't think the Arthur/Eames relationship will be as easy as it appears at the end of this piece, anyway.

Fuck, I love this. This was so restless. (Wow how adequate and inventive of me. haha) The narrative and the confusion but yet clarity it displayed were excellent. I really enjoyed reading this and will add it to my recs.

Thank you! I really enjoyed writing it, honestly. Restlessnes, etc. is something I'm very interested in.

I'm the anon who left the "thought-bomb" comment to that prompt, immediately above your fill comment. I say this only to segue into the fact that I've never commented to an unfilled prompt aside from this one, and I've never tracked an unfilled prompt until this one. And wouldn't you know it, your fill comment happened during that Great Time of LiveJournal Technical Upheaval, so I had no actual idea that it'd been filled. Oy ( ... )

Yeah, lots of credit to the OP on this one; the prompt resonated with me more than usual.

Anyway, I'm glad my fill worked for you. I'm a few hundred words into an Ariadne POV sequel that will deal with the same themes (and takes place chronologically after this), though it seems like I've been a few hundred words into it forever--probably since I last mentioned it here, in mid-April. Which is hardly forever.

Point being: Hopefully there will be a sequel eventually. And I really like these themes.

Ah, your fics are so good. I love the ache that runs through this, and Arthur's lack of understanding about his own actions. I'm friending you; I hope that's okay!

Thank you for commenting! I think wanderlust and homesickness are interesting and complimentary things--I like the idea that Arthur was traveling because he is most at home in motion. Or something.

And feel free to friend! It is most definitely okay.

Loved this. Loved Eames being (as I saw it?) sort of sweetly jealous of Ariadne and Cobb, and then it all being so clear to Arthur and Eames in the end.
(I keep using this icon when it describes fics with my favorite dynamic....)

Thank you! This was an interesting fic to write dynamics for--I'm working on the third (Eames-centric) installment in this series and trying to get a hold on Eames' feelings on this particular story.
