This is a good system. I'm gonna have to change my system soon, because Jared's work schedule is changing and he'll be getting up so early that there's no way I will be able to get up and make breakfast and pack a lunch for him like I've been doing since we were married. Great job on helping D get his blood sugar down!

thing is the cerial and veg can be pre prepped and I put five boxs (the ziplock semi disposables rather than papaer or a lunchbox I have 5 of them) on the counter sunday night add the chips and nuts and sweeite (anything shelf stable) and I do all the veg sunday night. so all I have to do each night is make a sandwich. (also you can do it for you even if you are staying at home having it already made can be a blessing)

I do cereal about once a month but doing it every two weeks works. I just use 3 cup ziploc boxs they get washed and reused. and buying a new set every year isnt that expensive.

Oh either get containers with a different couler lid or write on it and the container so they dont get used for leftovers and then tossed out when things that were brown turn green or vice versa.

Those are all such great tips, thank you! I'm thinking, since I'll be going to bed later than him (and often coming home when he's already asleep), I'll just need to start using evenings for getting food set and prepped for the following day (usually evenings are just TV and hanging out time for us). Of course all this will change when baby comes; then who knows what kind of crazy schedule we will be on. His schedule rotates every week, and mine is always all over the place, so having any sort of "routine" is going to take a lot of intention.

Just started looking at this LJ (and most of it actually) recently again. From what I can gather, you've moved someplace else?

This looks like a good list of foods to eat. I started taking up yogurt again a few months ago, after swearing it off for years. You are still one of the best women I've ever interacted with on LJ. Anyway, I'll try to be here more often. facebook and twitter are fun, but I can hardly get a response when I post something long or serious on fb (unless your name is Kyle Cassidy... :P).
