Well, I just got back from my first grown-up retreat. I participated in WATCH at Holy Cross this weekend. I didn't even know this retreat existed until they made an announcement at Mass two weeks ago. That planted a seed and it grew from there. 1) Started termination paperwork today.
2) Fear, uncertainty, feelings of failure, loneliness, and self-destructive tendencies don't mix.
3) I really need more sleep if I'm going to make it through the next couple of months.

I sat down at my computer with a lot to say... unfortunately I can't seem to make any of it into coherent thoughts, so I'll just say hi instead :)

This has been a pretty good week hanging out in DC.  My labmate and I left Champaign Sunday morning and managed to arrive in Chicago just as the storms were about to hit.  We boarded the flight and left about 3 hours late.  The pilot and crew were great though, so most of us were just taking it in stride.  It was kinda cool to be inside a plane ( Read more... )
