The second X-men animated series is noticably different from the original in several ways. First, most of the characters are teenagers, and rather than actually "attend" Professor Xavier's school full-time, they live there but go to the local high school. It's sort of the the typical "High School Students by Day, Superheroes by Night" set up.

Wow, Kitty was not in the original series? It's hard to imagine an X-Men series without her. XD; She's not a big favorite of mine, mainly because of her Valley Girl talk, but still.
I loved that angel episode too. ♥ Even though right now I barely remember most of it. I do remember how Angel was treated, though. ;___; Especially after he saved that kid. Heartbreaking.

Yes, Kitty wasn't in the orginal animated series, though she was a staple in both Evo and the comics. In the comics at least she came off as a bit more mature. The orginal series had Jubilee instead, and she filled much of the same role.
It's a little chilly how quickly the crowd turns on him, when he's just trying to help...;_; But even after that, he still decides to continue his solo "hero" work rather than hiding out at the X-Mansion where he'd be safe..
