Allotment
Went to the allotment this morning and dug up a nice big bunch of potatoes for Christmas dinner. And the few little ones that were left over, that wouldn't look right, or mash right, I roasted in butter and had with the homemade mint sauce from a couple of days ago. Gorgeous. Chilli Hyde...
Chop three green chillis, seeds and all, and fry with one dried red bird-eye-chilli in a mix of two tablespoons of habanero sauce and a bit of sunflower oil. Add three teaspoons of chilli powder, two cloves of garlic and two onions, finely chopped. Fry until the onions are transluscent, and add a bit more oil. Bread the Second of Northumbria
Sieve 900g of plain flour, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, 16 teaspoons of ground ginger, 6 teaspoons of ground cinnamon, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of cayenne pepper into a really huge bowl.
