Last week, I attended a presentation on a professor's trip to Senegal, Africa. I learned that many Senegalese cannot read or write, but many of these same people know two or three or four different languages. (I'm sorry I don't have the statistics. Hello friends! Yes, I have an LJ now!!!!! The times must be changing - I also have a fancy new-fangled cell phone, too! I hope to get this figured out soon, but hopefully I won't get addicted to it.
