Do you think you are a better person because of how you were raised? Probably somewhat "damaged" to yourself right now but you won't really be. I see you as a strong person; kick the hell out of those past reminders and be the best you can be.

I see a lot of children who should not have to go through what you have; they don't deserve it and don't ask for it, but it becomes their lives. Make the most of what you have. I have seen thru lemons made into lemonade!!! How sweet it can be :)
