I haven't cut my hair since possibly August. This is the longest it's been since fifth grade, when I officially gave up on my quest for hair down to my ankles. ( long hair/gender rambling + advice, pls??? )
Haha, nothing! Sharon pointed out that the face-shape in the photos I took last night was not actually mine, so I thought I'd add a disclaimer. You're lucky-- in the same realm as (the amazing) Audrey Tatou!
Ooh, so pretty... I kind of fear I would look like a man in drag, though. I'll have to do some photo-editing later.
my darling, you have a very long face. if you get a short cut you will want to do so in such a way that cuts your faceshape a little between the ears and the chin. short hair is FUN, though, so I would recommend shelling out the money to go to someone who knows hair (actually I compromise and go to a local Aveda beauty school, so it's an inexpensive cut and I get to help a student out and get the input of the professionals/instructors) so they can help you find the cut that'll work for you.
(keep in mind also what I have learned -- short hair that LOOKS GOOD is often more trouble than long hair. you can't just put it up and away and be done with it on a lazy day. sigh.)
Thank you for the detailed advice! Hm, I might have to wait until this summer. I did get a rec for a place in Topsham (not a beauty school), but I don't know when I'll have time to go.
Go for the short hair, but if you get something along the more "feminine cut" lines it will help with being mistaken for a boy. I also follow on meletor_et_al, and say shell out a bit more for a professional! I actually like the first image (the growing-out phase). Maybe something more that length?

The fact that everyone is saying "get a bob!" is probably indicative of something!
