Remus and Peter had taken care of a few things that had a delayed start on them. Turning the page on the book he was reading, Remus smiled. He did love the pacing Shakespeare crafted in 'Taming of the Shrew'. He was smiling faintly when he heard the portrait open.

"For fuck's sake Jamie, let go of me. I'm not crippled yet." Sirius sounded exasperated. "What healing charms do you know?" he made it through the portrait hole into the common room, even though he was favouring his left leg. "I want to get a bit fixed up before Rem... oh." he smiled sheepishly as he saw Remus look at him from over a book.

Sirius pushed the pink hair out of his eyes. "Hi love." casually, as if he had pink hair, black eye and a cut lip every day.

Stunned...

Remus took a moment to gather his wits. "Pink, Sirius? It really isn't your colour and it rather clashes with Gryffindor House colours."

"Oh ha ha, and you think I had a choice?" Sirius limped over and fell on the chair next to opposite Remus. He grinned. "You should see what I did to him." Sirius inspected his knuckles and flexed his hand. "Fuck, he has a hard head."

Holding up his hand for silence, Remus took a really good look at Sirius. "Who did this?", he asked calmly. Very calmly...very softy.

Someone was going to pay.
