Introspection, you are a harsh mistress!

A lot of recent events and things have really led me down the path of introspection (yet again!) and looking internally at my inner makeup, motivations, desires, etc. I've come to a few realizations that are nothing overly new to me, yet help me come to look at things from a different perspective
