Adam called me today just to chat! It was a wonderful conversation where I told him about all the cool stuff I did today. My trip out west has been going well so far. Iowa and Nebraska were pretty boring so my parents and I passed the time with the first few chapters of a Tom Clancy novel on CD. It's good so far. Denver, CO was alright. The hotel was a shithole. The worst hotel I have ever been in. It was seedy and ewwwww. However, the drive out of Colorado ( Read more... )

Wednesday Adam came over here. He helped us move our computer desk from the basement upstairs to the new office on the second floor. We also worked to get the computer hooked up. It took longer than I would have liked and it almost made us late for our date. Thankfully Dad was awesome enough to realized that we had stayed later than we wanted ( Read more... )

I finished two big packets of paperwork and sent them in to the National Park Service. Now I'm just waiting to be fingerprinted and order my uniform and I should be good to go. I found out that I will be living in a trailer with a female roommate from natural resources. We'll each have our own bedrooms and a common living space. Sounds like fun ( Read more... )

I got the Park Ranger job at Yellowstone!! I'll be working for the summer at most likely the Grant visitor center.

Today was much better than yesterday. Hanging out at the USO was special. We had lots of people come through and one in particular who was to be recognized. This guy, who I unfortunately did not get his name but knew he was in the Army, was on crutches with a flexi cast around his leg and his abdomen.
