Not that anyone will ever read this here, but since I have a need to actually put this down somewhere, I chose here. Here where things are still fairly anonymous. Well, the playset is all completed. Been done since mid August, but been busy with work and stuff so haven't posted pics. They are on the way, just not tonight. It looks awesome and the boys love it.Pics of the construction site

Well, spent the better part of the weekend working on building a new playset/swing/slide thingy for the boys in the backyard. It's kinda on the ridiculous side, but the boys will love it, and that's all that matters. Here's what it'll look like when it's all done. Well, except for the people, yard, house and mulchie stuff underneath it.

After being gone for 7 days, Milo showed up on our porch sometime before 7am this morning! He's lost some weight (although he was a large cat to begin with) but otherwise seems fine. Our cat, Milo has been wanting to go out and explore for a long time. He's got all his claws, and they are long and sharp, plus he's a big cat, so would be well able to defend himself. So Sean likes to help put Kyle to bed. This usually involves him tagging along, then climbing up on the side of the crib while I'm putting Kyle to bed. The last several night's Sean's said "Do you wanna kiss?" Meaning he wants to give Kyle a goodnight kiss. Well, the roofers started ripping the shingles off the roof today. First stretch of semi-decent weather we've had in a long time. Temps never got much above freezing, if at all, but at least the sun was out and the rains are supposed to hold off for the next several days. Plumbers were here for over 6 hours today. They scoped the drain pipe, snaked it, pressure hosed it and there is still a blockage. At least the water is going down now. It's probably as good as it's been for the last several years though. It appears likely that a couple of trees in our front yard have collapsed part of the sewer drain with ( Read more... )Rain and wet basements.
Well the process to dry out the basement continues. All the standing water has been out for a couple days now, but if the sump pump quits again before the plumber can get the roots cleared out of the drain, it'll come back. :( The throw rugs, and rubber backed runner carpets can be salvaged I'm sure.
