Tonight I saw Star Trek Into Darkness. Hmm, what can I say. It was a Star Trek movie. Good guys won, bad guys lost. There was an attempt at a twist, but it was one of the most predictable things. I was twiddling my thumbs waiting for it ( Read more... ) -
Another movie
I just got back from Iron Man 3 It is refreshing to see a sequel movie without a subtitle. I did like it. Ok, maybe a little deep and meaningful in one or two places, the dealing with the events from the Avengers movie was nicely done, so you're well aware of it being in the same universe ( Read more... ) -

Disappointed, but not surprised
Last week there was an artist taking commissions to earn some money to pay for the latest emergency. I happen to like the artist and they commissions were obscenely cheap... so I bought five. I considered it more of a donation than anything else. I told her to choose two characters from my web page and draw them, then the next three slots to go ( Read more... ) -

A year ago I was in South America, at this time I was somewhere up in the Bolivian highlands, probably trying to convince myself I was not that unfit and doing my best to blame the altitude (it was all in excess of 3.5km up). And another movie
I just saw another movie - Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. I have not seen such a gory movie for quite a while. It doesn't set out to be gory, it just happens to show it. I don't think anyone dies in a simple, bloodless way, most people die in rather gruesome bloody explosions. I think the special effect guys had way too much fun on some scenes ( Read more... ) -
