So, I'm leaving Lancaster...

Next weekend I'm moving down to Gloucester to be with musoholic my partner of about 2 and a half years, give or take some months.

Of course, I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Lancaster's been my home for almost 7 years. It is home to me, and probably always will be. I love it, every inch, from the crumbly stone ( Read more... )

I love you very much and will miss you. Lancaster will not be the same without the Charmonster. At the same time I understand why you want to go, and can only hope that Gloucester realises how damn lucky it is to have such an amazing addition.

Many hugs.

I misread that as 'the Charcumber', which I wish you'd had a nickname as well.

Despite not seeing you very much over the past year or two, I'll miss you.

Sorry I couldn't be at the leaving do. :-(

We'll still be here when you want to come visit and they'll be sofas and spare beds aplenty I'm sure if you just want to come mooch about town and admire our lack of clothes shops once more.

Give it time, once you're down there more it could well grow on you, try the countryside of the area, you should be close to some really nice stuff :)

Strangely you'll be moving to me and I find my self out west surprisingly often. I'll make a point of keeping you in the loop, in case you want to escape for a day.

As someone who has done the changing city thing in the not too distant past all I can say is engage with the city. You may be able to play Skyrim anywhere, but I definitely felt better living in London once I started doing stuff and it felt like home. Good company will help, but don't neglect the location.
