Borderlands?

I've played out ME/Fallout/TES for the moment and it's a looong time before DA3, so I'm eyeing up Borderlands. Is it worth buying? Similar to any of the games I just mentioned? I want help deciding whether to blow 30 dollars. :D

So.. I've played Minecraft on both consoles. I personally like the PC version better to make things short, but what I'm concerned about is the multilayer/co-op.

Bully PS2 problem

I have trouble with the classes in the game and as anyone who's play knows, if you fail a class you have to wait for the next one to try again. Some I had to redo so many times that it was very late in the game before I could finish unlocking the bonuses.
