The last couple days have been better- I have accepted that I work with a couple of big babies and we have avoided each other like the plague, so it's not great but it doesn't interfere with my classroom, which was my big worry. Minus the hacking cough, I am healthy again! School still rocks, I have a potential cute prospect, and I just got back from the hot springs cause teachers in Oregon have a three day weekend. Can't beat it!

I almost called in today. I should have. I am not going to school tomorrow, which if you know me you know that is a huge deal. Blargh....

I guess there is such a thing as playing too hard...wait, who am I kidding? No there's not! I am now sick after a killer weekend full of good stuff, so no complaints. It is also rainy today, so it seems a perfect Tea and Harry Potter type of afternoon. Wish me health!

So I went to Gerlinger tonight (ballroom) and ended up having way more fun than I expected. Tonight I was going to stay in and watch a movie. And go to bed. And that's it. Except my friend messaged me saying 'I'm bored' so we decided to go out. I made it through my first day with minimal nerves, and then it was cake. Today was my second day with students. I had a moment during my prep when it just hit me- I've finally done it. My goal for the last *10* years has been to be here, doing this. And now I am. And it's going well. I couldn't stop smiling.

School starts tomorrow. I had inservice all last week and this weekend I went to the coast with a friend and had an incredibly good time- I needed it very much. So now I am finishing up prep for tomorrow and then I go to it! I am focusing on the excitement rather than the nervousness to avoid making myself sick. Wish me luck!

Things have gotten much easier in the last few days. I can't think of any particular reason why, but maybe once I saw that things could be okay, they got okay. Kat and Aaron should be here any minute- they are coming down for the weekend.
