Idiocy

Once again I find myself under the scrutiny of my family due to my, shall we say, interests. My entire life I have been criticized and ridiculed because I like certain things. Things like movies. Comic books. Toys. Books. Superman. Star Wars. It used to bother me, but I learned that everyone has an opinion, but that those opinions rarely matter. I ( Read more... )

you would get on well with my family. my aunt and my mom both have "divisions" of their homes dedicated to star trek, star wars, mickey mouse, and my aunt is slowly building up her tinker bell collection. there isnt an age limit on things in life, experiences, there really isnt a thing such as novelty, because what may mean nothing to one person, may be the world to someone else. just my thoughts

Ahh Ryan. You make good points. I think as long as someones interests dont hurt or harm themselves or another person than theres nothing wrong with it. And you have your own job and no kids or a famiy to support so whatever you want to spend your money on is your choice. And people just make fun of stuff that they dont understand so her insults mean nothing cause she doesnt know what shes talking about.

Dude, I bought up some Final Fantasy VII Advent Children action figures less than a month back. They flat-out kick ass. Who are these people who grow out of toys? Those lightsaber replicas are pretty damned spiffy, but I'd be crazy paranoid about breaking it.

Of course, I also spend money on my car, my drinking, my etc. Not to mention groceries and rent. It's called LIVING, and not everyone is doing it in exactly the same way. How much would that suck?

*** SHAMELESS COMMERCIAL ALERT ***

Speaking of drinking, some friends are having a shag at the Legion on Van Norman this Saturday, and they've got some crazy prizes, including an xm sat. radio, portable dvd player, and apparently one huge ass AOV gift basket, among other thingies. You kids doing anything on Saturday?

Also, which lightsaber? Purple? Red?
