Well, its now been almost two weeks since arriving in PA and I think I am finally feeling a little calmer. So, about 30 minutes ago I accepted a position as Assistant to the Artistic Director at Ensemble Theatre Company in Santa Barbara, CA. My start date is August 7, 2006. It is a 5 hour drive to Santa Barbara from Oakland.

Well, here we are. Yes, we have finally arrived in Long Beach, WA. We got here yesterday morning around 10am. Originally we thought we would arrive on Sunday night, but the mountainous drive through Oregon forced us to stop around midnight and get some sleep. Definitely a good move. Tomorrow is my birthday. Yay! 27 years old. Funny, I don't feel like I'm in my late twenties. Anyway, I'm excited because I'm sort of a birthday fanatic. So, yesteray was a great Sunday. I ran the Broad Street Run - which is a 10 mile race down Broad Street in Philadelphia. It was really pretty weather, a little chilly in the morning but ended up perfect for the day's event. I finished in 1 hour 29 minutes 30 seconds - not bad for a first time 10 mile race.
