Ooof. Vitamin D, vit. E, and magnesium seem to have helped my premenstrual migraines, they're down to "just" thundering headaches instead of making me miss work.

Cleaning out your system of hormones could take longer than 2 months, so be prepared just in case. I second K's notion of the Mirena IUD, if you go that direction. The hormones are very low dose and delivered directly to the uterus, with little chance to frell up the rest of the body. I have the Paragard (no hormones) and while I've adjusted to it, it's a rough ride in the cramps department and you don't need any more of that!

I was getting menstrual migraines every month. My doc suggested I go on Seasonale. Now I get them for a couple days every 3 months. :-)

I've thought about the IUD - I think I'm headed in that direction but I want to see what happens over the next two months.
So far I've been off the pill about a week and I feel completely fine. . .
