Here's another post on television.

I'm not really a fan of Monk... not that I don't like Tony Shaloub, which I do- I love the Lebanese!-just that the show is one of those lower-grade, feels-like-it's-from-1984- type things....old-fashioned tv where you can figure out the plot twists a mile away.  I mean, it's a cute little show and I'd probably love ( Read more... )

I suppose it's time I write about the filming going on in town. About a week ago trucks started to appear, and the shops along Chapel Street began to be transformed. Ten Thousand Villages became a barber shop; Starbucks became a tavern; three other shops became a Woolworth; on and on, down the block. There's a new comedy on HBO about these two New Zealand guys who are in a band and move to NYC to make it big. In the show, they'll launch into a song to carry the action along, like in a musical. And the lyrics are really funny ("You're so beautiful / Like a tree / or a high-class prostitute / You're so beautiful / You could be a part-time model ( Read more... )

I'm so happy this show made it to TV. I read about it a year ago and CBS finally decided to air it this summer.

I've been a huge fan of Nick Park and Aardman and the original 'Creature Comforts' short is an all-time favorite.

The first ep. tonight was funny but if this clip is any indication, it just gets funnier.
