I think you hit all the points exactly. The adjectives and use of questions were poignant and added to the anecdote in a way that conveyed a sense of sarcasm. But pictures are worth a 1,000 words, and you have a lot more writing to do.

Yesteryear was such a long time ago though. It is my understanding that a woman matures as she gains years. Am I not mistaken?
