Brain restorations.... HELP!
Well, my brain finally died. The PDA I have been using for years gave up the ghost, and gave it's last gasp. So I went out and bought a Palm Z22. Thus far I'm quite happy with it, with the exception that I managed to lose all of the data from the old brain while moving into the new one ( Read more... ) -
hoses!
So this evening at work, at around 5pm, it was quiet, so I decided to do my hoses and thermostat. While the hoses LOOK okay, I know they were caved in before I managed to get a new radiator cap, and so I wanted the weakened hoses to NOT be on my car, especially heading into winter ( Read more... ) -

Success!! The shop had changed a blower motor and blower motor resistor on a '90 Ford F250 (big old pickup truck for those of you who don't know off the top of your head). Well, 7 months later, the truck is back, complaining of noise from the blower motor. The customer wanted a warranty replacement. Mikey was busy, and probly wasn't going to ( Read more... ) -

I like the quiet days at work. I got to change a starter on a '95 Toyota Corolla today. Once they got me started, I was able to do it on my own. And the car started successfully after too!! -

Installed the seal around the master cylinder shaft. It seems to have helped with the stalling problem, and the rough idle. I do wonder how much it might have helped my emissions. And I can still stall it if I try. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or what. I'll have to ask the guys at work when I get a chance. -

Bah! It is getting frustrating. I keep finding things I did on the last car that I am having to repeat on this car. Today I replaced the distributor. Not cap, rotor, wires. The distributor. It just up and decided to quit making sparks. I'll get around to cap, rotor, wires once $$ is not so tight ( Read more... ) -

Replaced brake master cylinder. The techs said they were going to help, and then left me to do most of it myself. I don't mind usually, but when my work keeps coming in, and MY level people don't pick up the slack, it is very frustrating. Especially when *I* DID pick up the slack when they had their cars in the shop. Bah ( Read more... )
