i've never hated Chelsea but i can't help but feel a little giddy inside when they fall on their asses.

Me neither :::)
Well they're addicted to it.
They call all their domestic sports competitions "World Title", after all ;)

haha yeah, we do. i remember when i was little and i was watching the Super Bowl and it dawned on me, how are we world champions? we didn't play anyone else. that pretty much sealed it for me on American sports.

Thats a funny fact revealing pretty much about the arrogant side of yer ppl. I love that. Btw, it first dawned me as i was watching NBA. They called it "the World Title" all the time, and later when i watched the REAL world basketball cup and how DreamTeam USA got punished by everyone, i was ROFLing through the whole tournament! "What, THAT's the World Champs!?" XD

Is the soccer field at ToyotaPark smaller than the ones in the World Cup? It looked awfully crowded on the pitch yesterday. Ballack kept shifting from one side of the field to another and poor Sheva was just running around trying to get the ball, but he was pretty much ignored.
I've never watched pre-season friendlies before, but Chelsea just looked very lethargic and disorganized. The only solid communication and connections happened between Terry, Lampard and Ferreira. Ferreira was surprisingly good. I don't understand why he was benched most of the times by Portugal in the World Cup. Ballack had a decent amount of steals, and I was kind of surprised that Robben would take corner kicks instead of Lampard. I haven't followed the club until recently, but do they use Robben as a playmaker too?

So it's not just me. I was also a little put off by the quality of the grass, too, especially considering how the commentators praised the facilities.

Btw, here's what Wiki has to say about field dimensions:
The length of pitch for international matches should be in the range 100 m - 110 m (110-120 yards) and the width should be in the range 65 m - 75 m (70-80 yards). For other matches the constraints are looser: 90 m - 120 m (100-130 yards) length by 45 m - 90 m (50-100 yards) width. The pitch must be longer than it is wide.

I wasn't surprised Chelsea lost. They weren't playing too great, losing the ball a lot. I'm surprised Mourinho didn't blame the heat XD Chelsea wasn't even trying that hard. I mean, what significance would it have if they won? I bet very little people are watching in the UK and it doesn't count for anything anyway.

But, MLS did surprisingly well without Donavan or Pope.
