Looks like the RC tank is going to cost close to a thousand bucks to build, according to the bill of materials I've made. Once I get serial radios that work, and work out more of a schematic for the controls, I'll have a bit more to put in there. Weekend saw a spaceship design, some tank design, and some work outside. Spaceship is halted while I figure out how the radar is going to work--a lot of stuff is going to be designed around that. Food storage--beenie weenies. Canned pork'n'beans or baked beans, pick your poison, and Vienna sausages. Both are canned, so both last a good while. Optionally, bacon works well too, and you can get canned bacon believe it or not. Play with the proportions a bit though, and make sure you have the right amount of whatever to work. I think I have a beginning to my story that works out. Well, the very very beginning is fine, but getting that to mesh with modern reality was a pain. Getting furries wasn't hard, getting the cool stuff wasn't hard, I'm still working on space travel, but getting everything to work together was still lacking. But I think I have it.
