This morning was the first big group move, so I had to pack up from my Hiroshima hotel, after my 2 night stay, and then I walked out into a light snowfall and the half hour walk to the station. This morning was a normal early wake up, but after the late finish, but time was of the essence this morning. It took all this time, but I finally got snowed on. Sure, it has snowed on my train, and on my hotel while I slept, but this morning is the first time since I have been here that snow has fallen on me. Having a somewhat late morning train, and thinking it’s fine to not bother with an alarm can lead to low levels of wake-up paranoia. What exacerbates this is being in a room which seals its windows tightly with very opaque blinds, and no other forms of outside light. So my day began at 5:15 with a little check of the time.
