More like NYC Anime Vendor Convention. That was pretty much it. I was hoping for more displays and booths that were directly from Japan. That's right! Just four more days until the NYC Anime Con!!! Got my camera ready and some extra cash, now I just have to wait, grrr, I hate waiting........

The New York Anime Festival is happening on the weekend of the 26th and boy howdy I can't wait. I have never been to a full fledged Anime Con, Festival, Event, ever! I received an email from my brother a week or so ago and judging from the attached photo it looks like he is doing alright. He writes they were having WOG day, and the attached photo is of him on his back soaking wet with vomit down the front of his shirt. My brother emailed me recently, and it seems he is doing better than before. He still is unable to take shore leave in Japan, which sucks, but he is not in any real trouble. I received a forwarded email from my Brother through my Mom. It seems he has taken a turn for the worst about the death of our Grandma. From what I read he became really upset while on shore leave in Korea. It seem his ship mates were trying to console him when they ran into a Shore Patrol unit. This past Friday my Grandma Passed away. We kinda knew this was coming, but it did happen quite suddenly. I am not sure of the exact details, other than she had respiratory problems and that was the cause of her demise. The saddest part is my brother is deployed and could not come home for a few days. Last night was my first scuba diving class. For me it is a refresher as I am already certified, but I did not realize how much I forgot!! It was coming back to me in the lecture portion and I aced the quiz!! Then came the practical portion. Before we could don the gear and start diving we had to swim seven laps in the dive pool.
