I tell ya, 24 hour fasting, while having your system cleaned out and then getting put under anesthesia does not do me much good. I spent yesterday sleeping. When I did get up I walked into the walls because I could not walk a straight line ( Read more... )

I KNOW! But he said he needs to check me again in a year because he still wasn't convinced he could see everything clearly.

I totally get your eating reaction! And that you didn't gain any weight, that's cool. I indulged in a unusually large meal after my biopsy for comfort reasons - but unfortunately the scale says I gained 3 pounds overnight! Bummer.

I hope your day is going better than you expect.

Yeah, I think I had lost too much weight with the fast and prep, and it took my body a bit of time to begin to re-set. I've probably gained a couple of pounds back by now.

And yes, he wants me back in a year. It's just not fair.

And my day was a circus, beginning with a flat tire on the way in. (sigh)

Because he's not convinced that he could see everything clearly enough. So next year it's 48 hours of fasting and prep.

Oh yikes! Is boxing a good idea right now? I'd rest up as much as possible. Not meaning to sound like a nanny, so sorry if I did. :)

Well, boxing didn't happen because I had a flat on the way in to work, and then had to call a friend to get home to wake Pat up. His phone was on mute from the day before. (He'd put it on mute so it wouldn't wake me up.) So he didn't hear me calling. We had have the car towed into the dealership and then Pat dropped me off at work as he went to go follow the tow truck.

The friend I had called is my boxing coach's wife and she said, "You're not boxing today." So I meekly said, Okay. And that was that.

Well, I didn't box, but it was because I got a flat tire on the way to work, and then there were all these complications get hold of Pat, so I had to call a friend to give me a ride home. The friend was my coach's wife and she just informed me I was not going to boxing. I was in her car on the way to my house, and I wasn't going to disagree with her.
