I had chills and fever for a few hours during the night after my second Covid shot, but no food spillage. I'll be interested to see if/how I react after the booster I'm hoping to have before too long. (Waiting for Moderna.)
I was able to get the Moderna. It's been approved, but for me it was because my doctor wanted me to have it. You might see if your doctor would do that!
I really don't get people who complain or talk about covid vaccine reaction as if it was a terrible thing - what's two hour, or even 12 hours, of a mild fever compared to the actual thing? And you know, now I've had the actual thing I can 100% say that you don't want it, even if mild!
I know! I don't get it. I did share it with a friend who had just gotten the booster, just in case he had a similar reaction. But mostly I thought it amusing that I didn't realize I was running a fever until Pat told me. I just thought I was cold. And I doubt any doctors would buy into my blame of the booster reaction for me spilling my soup in my lap twice. (grin)
Seriously though, reactions to vaccines are SO much milder than any of the illnesses they protect against.
I had a more severe reaction to the Shingles vaccine's second shot. But I told people, it's SO much better than having shingles I'll take it.
