Today, I came across an NIH project worth visiting- it seems they've been scanning in some of the early classics in medicine and natural history, and putting them online in a really snazzy page-turning format.

As part of my ongoing "weekend adventures" series, yesterday I paid a visit to the regional art museum. There's a surprisingly large collection spanning many eras, all displayed in an extremely accessible way- the wide range of media was also a good reminder of just how many different forms art can take
