Back to the middle and around again

I always think of what i want to say in my journal about the cool things that happen to me day to day, but it seems that whenever I sit down, i can't get to it. A lot of important stuff gets left out, because I really have to focus on my work after class. By the time I ever call it "done," it's usually because I'm at my wit's end, and I have no ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear that you aced your finals! Congrats. It sounds like your life is really looking up.

Just one question:

For fun, i've been writing RP posts at NR and recently, Sareil got me into IMVU.

I hope you realize that many of your readers (at least this one) won't be able to understand what you're saying when you don't qualify your abbreviations. There's no way to decode them from contextual clues.

Its fine if you're writing these entries for your own personal recollection... However, I doubt you'll even remember what you meant in 2 years time.

Again, congrats on beginning to get your life in order. I'm happy for you!

sadly i won't be in town that weekend. i could have taken you out or something to celebrate.

you speak of wasting educational time studying things you'll never use again. i did a lot of that in undergrad, all in the name of being more well rounded. i have forgotten most of it, so i guess it didn't work.

Really?

I remember all that stuff.

Heck, I remember all that stuff you learn in fifth grade too. I could totally ace that "are you smarter than a fifth grader show" :-)

It really freaks people out.

Glad to hear your finals went well, it's always nice to come out of those with a good feeling. Good luck on boards too. I think every health care profession has some form of standardized tests for legal reasons, and we all do brain dumps based on retaining what we actually end up doingn in our day to day jobs.

As an aside, the show "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader" is a total joke. I think you need to pass a stupid test to be a contestant.
