Justified is easily one of the best shows on TV. I love flawed Raylan, and Boyd is the penultimate likable bad guy that you are almost disgusted with yourself for liking...but not quite. I dearly hope we get more Loretta!

i was expecting the "angriest man i've ever met" to pay off with this episode, actually. and some of it did come out when he was with arlo in the jail cell. and y'know, usually the maverick cop who gets sent somewhere he doesn't want to be and then proceeds to kick ass and take names and show people how law enforcement is really done is a guy to be admired. his go-it-alone, damn-the-torpedoes style is usually presented as a generally positive trait. whereas raylan's tendency to do that is generally presented as a negative trait - i mean, his boss is done with him, his fellow marshals are done with him, he's pissed off some pretty powerful and violent people, and i think the only reason winona hasn't told him to fuck off is she still thinks he'll give up the marshal service and settle down to a nice calm life with her. (and boy won't she be surprised when he doesn't.) his excessive emotional constipation and need to keep things close to his chest is turning out to be kind of toxic for him ( ... )
