can't dress myself

I have a very pale yellow cotton shirt that's somewhat sheer-- can see a bra clearly through it-- and I'm going to buy an undergarment to wear under it...

My question is, what color undergarment would you wear with this? White would look wierd, black is very obvious, tan? I am clueless here... it's really pale yellow, almost creamy.

ditto. if you don't want it to show, you'll need one of those nude colored bras (never mind that they always look old-lady!)
if you want it to be obvious, then yeah, black.

Get something "nude", skin coloured.

I'd go for a bra that kind of matches your skin tone or just wear a tank top under it (if that's possible).

I would say a similar yellow color. I have a white shirt like that and I bought one of those tanks with the built in bra to wear under it.

yeah, michelle saw this tip on oprah last year and we've both benefitted. of course, closest to skin tone is actually the white bra for me, go figure.

Or, how about something pretty, like pink or light blue, if you don't care about matching-matching?
