As part of our 10th Anniversary celebrations, hesadevil has issued a '10 Years of Fandom' banner challenge. The winning banner will feature on the WriterConUK website (and all the runners up will be displayed at the meeting).

Here are the rules:
Size: 800 x 258 pixels (or the same ratio)
Text: All banners must include the text Writercon UK and 10 Years of

I've had another idea that I'd like you to set as a challenge. Suggest cocktails (ideally 10 in total) we will ask the hotel to make available to us, all with fandom-related names. e.g. The Sonic Screwdriver ( Top with Blue Curacao for Doctor 10)

That's a nice idea!

I think we'd have to modify it a bit -- ask the hotel for a list of the cocktails they're planning to prepare (because cocktails aren't part of their normal offering; they do them as a favour) then ask people to suggest new, fandom-related names for those cocktails. We'll probably have to issue the challenge nearer the time (when the hotel know what they're offering). And we'll have to think of a way to apply the names without confusing everyone and messing up the orders... Maybe we just order them using the old names, then we add a little printed label to them as they arrive? I can make the labels.

I don't know how much input we have on the choice of cocktails, but if poss, yes!!
