Only three months left until WriterconUK 2016, at the Ramada Hotel, Coventry on 16-18 September.

It may seem like ages away, but I'm sure it'll soon be upon us. At the moment, we have 13 people signed up:

It would be helpful if anyone who usually attends but knows they cannot this year, would let us know now.

Do we have a ' Plan B' in case we don't make break-even? One which would allow those who have already signed up, get together anyway and have a 10th anniversary party, with goodie bags?

Thanks, hils, that would be brilliant. I've advertised on community_promo and on shameless_plug, but everything I do generally turns to shit ;-)

We only need 6 more people!

So far, we have a crafting session -- make a fandom-themed calendar (hobbituk will supply the materials & we'll print out some pictures based on people's favourite fandoms) -- a session on illustrating stories by kazzy_cee, who has also volunteered to do a belly dancing/posture/loosening up session, I was planning to do a '10 years of fandom' talk with a timeline, looking at each year's top fandoms, best & most hated story lines, scandals, etc, with lots of pictures, theme tunes, & nostalgia, and whatever you have in mind, if you're still up to it.

Something kazzy_cee said makes me wonder if we should emphasise the 'getting together to talk about the fandoms we love with like minded people' aspect, but go with whatever you think will sell!

OMG that 10 years of fandom thing sounds amazing! I think that will actually be a good selling point for the event too!

I still have no idea what I want to do but I will definitely think of something fun and interactive.
