I don't know where Kitayama got these lock picking skills but I guess he has them! :x Set in my
Tokyo Dollhouse verse, probably a few weeks after
this.
"If you learn to lock your doors properly, you wouldn't have to worry about security breaches," Kitayama says lazily from where he's spread out on the couch. Fujigaya clicks his tongue in irritation and doesn't bother mentioning that he had locked his door before leaving his office that morning. He knocks Kitayama's feet off the leather instead, hearing a satisfying thunk as the little perpetrator's shin hits the edge of the coffee table.
"What are you in my office for anyway? Besides to dig through my drawers for chocolate." Fujigaya walks around to sit behind his desk and look at Kitayama expectantly. His irritation turns to interest when Kitayama, a man who normally just does what he wants, look hesitant.
Finally, Kitayama manages to get words out. "I have a date with Totsuka Shota tomorrow."
'Ah-ha,' Fujigaya thinks. "Who asked who?"
"He asked me and I said yes," he answers awkwardly. "How much trouble will I be in?"
Fujigaya leaned back, measuring the man in front of him. Kitayama could piss him off like no other, but he was steady, reliable, and by far one of the best handlers assigned to the Tokyo Dollhouse. "I'm going to tell you exactly what I told him," he decides, and continues before Kitayama can finish being surprised about Fujigaya having had any such conversation with Totsuka.
"There is no written rule saying you cannot date a former active. It's just frowned down upon so be ready for that. You also can't help him fill in the blanks about his time here. Doing so would be a breach of our clients' privacy," he clarifies even though he knows he doesn't actually have to. Kitayama's not stupid either.
Remembering that, Fujigaya says, "He's looking forward to being able to start fresh. Now get out of my office."
xingphonic, you're up! :)
