The storm last night has managed to redefine "irony" for me.  Mainly because the power went out, and I realized that it was too dark for me to find my flashlight.

I am continually amazed by how reasonable the pope can be, even though he's former Hitler Youth, an Opus Dei supporter and head of what was once the Inquisition. While he may occasionally cry out at the top of his lungs that Christianity is the only true religion, sometimes, he says stuff like this.

But I stayed up all night, and finished Deathly Hallows in one sitting.  Actually, around 5 a.m, I tried to go to sleep for about ten minutes.  I tossed, turned, then got back up and told myself I'd just read a few more chapters.  The next thing I know, the book is done and it's 7:30 a.m ( Read more... )
