My oldest thinks she is ugly. She thinks she has nothing special. How do I teach her otherwise? She is 14. She is needing exceptance from others before she can except herself. I hate this. I don't want her to be like me. It's my worst fear.

take her out somewhere, for lunch or something, and ask her to look around herself and point out the beautiful people that she sees. i guarantee you that she'll pick certain people out. then ask her why, to her, others weren't as beautiful.
beauty is an opinion, not a fact.
