I had an interview for Chums today. It was pretty much about how much they liked you. The entire staff there sat in the coffeehouse and asked me questions (not a single of which was about the job). I was not expecting that when they said, "Sign up for an interview." So of course I was a little surprised and intimidated. I got an email after I got ( Read more... )

Well, those people at Chums obviously aren't very cool or awesome, because if they were, they'd recognize the coolness and awesomeness in you. OR, maybe they just didn't feel that you and them would "mesh" so in that case, it's nothing personal. It's like picking out a doctor or a piano teacher. You might find all of your choices really cool, but it's the one that you just click with that you want to work with. And that's not personal. It's just the way things are; the way certain personalities match better than others.

You get to come home soon, so the light at the end of the tunnel isn't too far off! I'll be home this summer, as will Angela I'm sure, and Nina, and hopefully danni will come home, and we're going to hang out lots and get caught up.

Love ya.

Do you want to drive down to Olympia to visit Danni in a couple weeks?

I think she might be moving out before then. Are you not free on any weekends?

That was unfair of them to do that! O_o You attract the most personable groups of people I have ever seen, Parv. Therefore, if they mingle with you, you by default must be personable and fun. And you are. Don't let the man get you down. :D

If it helps any, I'll be here! Not for most of July, but the rest of the time--and then next year I'll be back in Boston with ya. :D So I'll be coming up to Brandeis every weekend yet again, I'm sure. XD I love it there.

If it also helps, I've been consistently rejected from every job I've interviewed for and/or just plain not called even though I offer so many hours and I lie about how long I can actually stay. I say "indefinitely" and 20 + hours with 2 jobs on my resume that show great customer service...great references... AND YET.

Who the hell knows why, Parv. Just who the hell knows.
