I had an argument with someone the other night about 'If On a Winter's Night a Traveler.' He hated it (loved Invisible Cities, though), but quivered in the face of McCarthy's 'Blood Meridian.' Otherwise, he was a good guy, so, unfortunately, I'm going to have to read the McCarthy.

I got Invisible Cities, too. But, I'll start that after I finish either Foundation (Asimov) or the Orson Scott Card book I'm reading.

I hate Cormac McCarthy. Nothing will ever change that.

Everyone hates McCarthy except meeeeee. I love him even when I fear him. Though it is true he could stand to drop a little pretension, this is true for many authors.

I'm reading "If On A Winter's Night..." right now too! Whoa! For the type of book this is, this is an especially delicious coincidence.

Actually, I saw you were reading it on your livejournal and it partly inspired me to buy it.

Btw, I still have that graphic novel. Let me know if you'll be there this weekend and I'll bring it.
